Ms. Diamon’ M. Thomas is an accomplished educator and dynamic leader, teaching the English Language Arts curriculum to 7th and 8th graders at Wooddale Middle School (WMS). With a commitment to collaborating with community partners to provide students with resources and opportunities for growth, Ms. Thomas brings passion and expertise to her classroom.

Ms. Diamon’ M. Thomas is an accomplished educator and dynamic leader teaching the English Language Arts curriculum to 7th and 8th graders at Wooddale Middle School (WMS). With a commitment to collaborating with community partners to provide students with resources and opportunities for growth, Ms. Thomas brings passion and expertise to her classroom.
Ms. Thomas began her teaching career as a 6th-grade English teacher at WMS, where she taught from 2022 to 2024. During this time, she achieved a Level 5 status on the Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System (TVAAS), a testament to her exceptional teaching skills and dedication to student growth. In addition to her role at WMS, Ms. Thomas is a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army National Guard, exemplifying her leadership and dedication to service. She is also the CEO and Founder of Rich Off Education, a nonprofit organization in Memphis, TN, dedicated to providing free educational travel opportunities for students. Her organization has partnered with groups like the Memphis Rotary Club, providing many young learners with enriched educational experiences and expanded horizons.
Ms. Thomas holds a Master of Education from Union University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education, specializing in K-12 leadership (qualitative research). Her doctoral research focuses on understanding the impact of educational travel on cultural competence and global citizenship among Title I middle school students, reflecting her deep commitment to equity and inclusion.
Looking ahead, Ms. Thomas aims to mentor and train educators to become educational travel teachers, expanding access to these transformative experiences nationwide for Title I middle school students. Her long-term vision is to create more opportunities for educational travel, believing in its power to shape well-rounded, culturally aware, and globally-minded citizens.
